In a nutshell, a virtual assistant works remotely as a personal assistant/office administrator to provide a business administration service. A VA focuses on doing and performs specific tasks delegated to them by the business owner. Typical tasks include diary management, email management and general correspondence, data entry, filing, document formatting, proofreading and editing, customer service, invoice processing and general office admin.

Business Support Manager

In contrast to a VA, a business support manager focuses on management, rather than doing, and can provide much needed strategic and managerial support to a business owner. They will have sight of the bigger picture, managing projects, team members, operations and finances. Typical activities include project management, client services management, business planning, recruitment, business development and, ultimately, working with the business owner to achieve the goals and objectives set out in the business plan, or indeed create a business plan.

I will take the time to think about how I can best assist you and your business in order to achieve the objectives discussed in our discovery call (or meeting), setting out the options available for us to work together.

Deliver

Once the proposal and objectives have been agreed, I will talk you through the onboarding process and get started with implementing the planned scheme of activities. This is where the magic happens!

Review

Each month you will receive a detailed monthly report of where I have spent my time and in which areas of your business. I will also supply a progress report to cross check against agreed objectives.
