Behind Your Great Business is a Great VA!
You’ve all heard the phrase “behind every great man there is a great woman”. There is an implication that the woman is taken for granted or invisible and of no worth, and so the phrase highlights the importance of the woman to the man’s success. I know this is a bit old school and times have certainly changed but this phrase strikes a chord with me in my work as a Virtual Assistant. Today is National Administrative Professionals Day and what better day to highlight the importance of the work I do and the impact it has to successful businesses.
The life of a virtual assistant is a busy and varied one, wearing many hats and having multiple skills and tools in my armoury, all ready and waiting to be whipped out for whatever task lies ahead. No two days are the same and each client has their own needs and requirements, and with several clients on the books it’s a balancing act!
One minute I am writing standard operating procedures for a start-up and the next I am on the phone to a gundog owner asking what course they should book. I could be in the middle of working through sports hall booking enquiries when an email comes in asking for an urgent email marketing campaign to be set up. A day of writing content for a website followed by a day of researching profiles on LinkedIn. I might be setting up a digital filing system from scratch or ordering glitter for an event!
These are all very real tasks that I do for my clients and so much more that are essential to the success of their businesses. Things that the business owners either don’t know how to do, don’t want to do or simply don’t have time to do. But without these tasks being completed their businesses would not grow and achieve success. Essentially, I deliver the work that involves running a business (not delivering the actual business service or offering). I don’t do the coaching, or the gundog training. I am not a careers advisor or a sports club owner. I am not a PR consultant or estate agent. I am a VA and I take care of all your business administration needs, also offering strategic business support, advice and guidance. I am your wing woman in business, and I think this is pretty powerful.
So, behind every great business is usually a great administrative assistant or in my case, virtual assistant. Never taken for granted and most definitely not of no worth and perhaps more ‘behind the scenes’ than invisible.
If you are a small business owner, a coach or independent practitioner in your industry who would appreciate some help in being great then this great VA is ready to get behind your business.
